My name is Graeme and I am a Carpenter and Joiner.
I am married to my lovely Vanessa and have three lovely daughters, two step-daughters and a fantastic grandson. I live in Surrey in the South of England.
My business name is RODACO Joinery. The name RODACO (pronounced ruh-day-kow) comes from the first two letters of each of my daughters’ names, Roxanne, Danielle and Courtney.
I attended Crawley College for 3 years and studied Carpentry and Joinery, for which I earnt my City and Guilds NVQ. From there, I spent 12 years working in a joinery department for a partitioning company.
I spent a year installing bedrooms and studies for a big bedroom company and then moved on to building office environments, boardrooms and showrooms. It was after this when I found my real passion for restoring buildings, working on some lovely grade 2 listed properties, removing rotten windows and repairing them, as well as upgrading the glass to either 6.4mm laminated or special 12mm double glazed units.
